Core 1.0 and Core 2.0 help you feel confident, stable and balanced on the trails. Great for people hitting the trails for the first time or for those wanting to make sure their fundamental skills are in good shape before moving on to harder trails. All delivered on the amazing trails of the Forest of Dean. 
 
 
Core skills 1.0 
 
Core 1.0 helps you to develop the fundamental skills you need to ride off road; these skills will increase your confidence and let you have more fun on your bike. 
 
What do we cover in Core 1.0? 
Balance and positioning – We’ll help you improve your balance by learning how to stand on the bike in an efficient way for off road riding.  
Braking – We’ll check in to make sure you can use your brakes safely, to give you more control on the bike. 
Hops – We'll develop skills to be able to lift the front and rear wheel off the ground. This can be used on the trail to go over small roots. 
Drops – We'll explore how to move when rolling off small steps - this will help you tackle them with confidence on the trails. 
Trails used: Blue trails and other skills sections. 
Max group size:

Core skills 2.0 
 
Core 2.0 - dialled the skills on Core 1.0? Then this is the course to keep progressing through the fundamental techniques. 
 
What do we cover in Core 2.0? 
Body position – We'll develop your positioning on the bike and how to adjust your body when the trail gets a little steeper. 
Braking – We’ll explore ways to use your front and rear brake when riding a slightly steeper trail or for cornering. 
Bunny hops – We'll develop the skills to help you bunny hop - a useful skill for tackling things like roots and other tech features. 
Pumping – We’ll help you improve your movement and timing for riding over rollers on the trail without needing to pedal. 
Trails used: Blue trails and other skills sections.
